Nature: New church in Early English Gothic style.  Church first proposed c. 1890 by Fr. Carrick, PP. Long delay in building because of financial incompetence on part of Fr Breen, PP until 1897. Building begun and completed by his successor, Fr. P. Slattery. FS laid 14 Aug 1898. Dedicated 25 Nov 1900. Builder: W. Connolly & Sons. Total cost: £3,500.
