Nature: New church in Lombardic Romanesque style built to replace one on Marlborough St destroyed in 1922, for which compensation of £22,000 was granted. On site of old parochial hall.  Dedicated, 21 Dec 1931. Builder: J. & P. Good. Building awarded 1st RIAI Triennial medal.
