Nature: Remodelling of church of 1810. N-ew clerestory, apse & sacristies, for Very Rev. Cornelius Flavin.  Church reopened, 6 Dec 1908. Builder: John Hearne, Waterford.  High altar by Earley & Co., Dublin. (According to J. Williams, Companion guide to Architecture in Ireland 1837-1921 (1994), 344, new church was designed in 1875 by J.J. O'Callaghan 'but not completed until 1934, by which time its second architect was long since dead'.   No other evidence for O'Callaghan's authorship is forthcoming, however.)
