Nature: New cruciform church in First Pointed style with N tower and spire replacing church of 1720. FS laid 11 Nov 1847. Nearly complete at beginning of 1850. Supervising architect: William Gillespie. Contractor: John De Courcy Butler. Cost: £6,800.   Spire not built until 1869-70.

Nature: E window (St Peter, St John the Evangelist, St John the Divine) presented by Rev. Louis Perrin, incumbent of Garrycloyne, in memory of Dr Wilson, late buishop of united diocese. Said to have cost over £200.
