||CO. DERRY, MUFF, TEMPLEMOYLE AGRICULTURAL SEMINARY
||New model agricultural school, built 1826 on plan of establishment founded by Philipp Emmanuel van Fellenberg (1771-1844) at Hofwyl, near Berne, Switzerland. Classical two storey, with frontage of 112 ft. 3-bay centre, with pedimented single bay advanced wings on each side. Erected in 6 or 7 weeksl 'greatly to the astonishment of the neighbouring peasantry' at cost of £2,400. Opened 1827.
