Dedicated 19 Jun 1859.(These dates conflict with Clonliffe Archive MS p1/2 which gives dates of 15 Nov 1857 for foundation and 19 Jun 1860 for dedication.) Clerestory level reached by Mar 1858. Contractor: Robert Farrell (£3,000). Stained glass by Hardman, Birmingham, and Wailes, Newcastle. Cost including fittings £4,869.17s.4d. Pulpit and 'baptistry', £220.
