Nature: New church, for Very Rev. Patrick Byrne. North Italian Romanesque. FS laid Oct 1881.  Carried out in two phases, 1st (from 1881) comprising tower, nave, aisles & transepts, 2nd (from 1884) comprising chancel, chapels & sacristy.  Builders: A. Redmond, Wexford (1st phase) and D. Creedon, Fermoy (2nd phase). Carving in nave arcade and chancel by J.A. O'Connell, Cork.   Stained glass by Cox & Buckley, lONDON & Youghal. Consecrated 22 Sep 1916.
