Nature: New church built in Scrabo sandstone. Oblong plan, with projection to one side. Square tower with belfry at NE angle FS laid by Sir Edward Coey, 8 Jun 1872. Completed and opened, May 1873. Contractor: Robert Corry. Cost: £2,800. Adjoining schools added, 1881.
