Nature: New church on site of Christ Church. FS laid 26 Oct 1891. 1st secton, built by Dixon & Campbell, consecrated 11 Mar 1893. 2nd section and tower completed by Mssrs. Thornbury, 1903. Cost £14,500; £2,500 still to be paid off in May 1904.(Church almost totally rebuilt after bomb damage in 1941)
