Nature: Works at same including new repewing, new doors from nave to 2 stairwells, new pulpit & reading desk., new carved wood, new roof and open ceiling, new E window.  Whole chancel elaborately decorated from design by T. Drew. Contractor: Mr Henry. Church re-opened 22 Oct 1865.

Date: 1882
Nature: Extensive improvements in progress. ‘The alterations have been rendered necessary as much by the change of service which recently took place as by the desire of the vestry to increase the accommodation of the church.’ Organ to be moved from rear of gallery to recess on N side of chancel, placed 10 ft. up, with vestry room to be fitted up beneath. ‘Some fifty years ago an addition to the length of the church was made in the rear, and the present alteration will make the building extend 30
feet beyond the site of the original east window.’ New chancel opened on 2nd Sundain Advent. Reredos mosaics by Mssrs. Simpson and Sons, London. Reredos presented y architect.
