FS laid by Cardinal Cullen, 29 Mar 1875;  'in course of erection'.Jul 1875.  Dedicated 25 Mar 1878 by Monsignor McCabe. Builder: Michael Meade & Son (estimated cost ¬£5,793). High altar by Farrell & Sons. Side altars, communion railing and statues by P.J. Neill & Co., Great Brunswick Street.
