Nature: Submits design for same, and subsequently oversees execution of building, design of which is usually credited to Gandon. Named as architect by James Malton. Attends laying of foundation stone, 17 Aug 1786.

Nature: New.  FS laid 17 Aug 1786. Building completed 1788. Opened for patients, 1790. Work superintended by William Gibson, who is also credited with being architect of same. For Commissioners and Overseers of the Barracks and Public Works.
