Nature: Superintends sundry improvements in connection with memorial to Col Meadows Taylor 'of Indian and lioterar celebrity'. 4 new stained class windows by Mayer & Co. erected. Entire church repewed, entrances improved and organ enlarged. Service of thanksgiving for 'recent'  improvements held 25 May 1877.

Nature: Repainting and alterations under superintendence of Frederick Batchelor, including removal of pulpit and reading desk which stood in front of chancel, removal of chancel steps and setting back of transept galleries. New oak pulpit and reading desk, both executed by Dovey, Mullally & Co., Dublin, erected on either side of chancel. New brass lectern by Brown & Co., Birmingham. New tile mosaic chancel floor, marble chancel steps and brass railing. Alterations carried out by Sibhorpe & Co., Molesworth St. Painting by J.F. Keating & Son, Grafton St. Church closed end Jul 1899 and reopened 17 Sep 1899.
