Nature: New church in Decorated Gothic style, with aisled nave,, transepts, chancel, vestry room , tower at NW. Replaced old church of 1614. FS laid 9 Mar 1847. Builder: Thomas Carroll. Attacked by dry rot and closed 3 weeks after consecration. (Extensively repaired, reroofed, outer parapet removed, 1963-64; rededicated, 1969.)
