Nature: New Gothic church built 'in accordance with the plans of the late Mr Welland' on site granted by William Browne, Cumber House.  Has nave, aisles, porch, spire, belfry, stained and varnished open roof, and contains sittings for 400 persons. Contractor: Mssrs. McElwee. Cost: £3,000. To seat 400. consecrated summer, 1860. Cost nearly £3000.
