Nature: New male orphanage. Estimated cost £3,595. Opened Dec. 1909 by Bishop of Clogher. £50,000 bequeathed by Miss Sarah Crudden for erecting male & female orphanages. Contractor: James Clarence, Ballysodare, Co. Sligo. Scott exhibits design for 'Gate lodge, Bundoran' (i.e for this building?) at RHA, 1912. (NB In description of opening ceremony in Freeman's Journal, 11 Dec 1900, only T.F. McNamara is mentioned - did McNamara in fact design both male and female orphanages?)
