Nature: RM said to have worked here (Lewis says church, 'a large and hadsome structure with a square tower with pinnacles', was enlarged in 1819 and enlarged and repaired 'more recently', while Leslie states thet the church'was enlarged and almost rebuilt in 1819 at a cost of £2450, and again enlarged in 1831, when the chancel was rebuilt' ).
