Nature: Vestry orders 'that two guineas be paid to John Meason for a plan and estimate for a new church', 16 Apr 1823.  JM asked to prepare plan and estimate for interior at vestry meeting ot 13 Jan 1824.  Tender of John Mason [sic] for building tower of £227.17s.2d. accepted, 3 May 1824.  'The churc, which is a neat plain building ... was rebuilt in 1823, at an expense of baout £900, aided by a grant from the lat Board of First Fruits.'(Lewis)
