Nature: New Gothic cruciform church with tower, 'the model taken from an ancient ruin in in the neighbourhood'. Executed entirely by local tradesmen. For Alexander Murray of Broughton, Wigtownshire. Designed between 1834 and 1839. Begun early 1842. Opened 25 Dec 1844.
