- Born: 1872? Died: -
Engineer and architect, of Dublin, active from the1890s until the early 1930s. Joseph Caren, son of James Caren and his wife Anne Heney, was born in Dublin on 25 March 1872.(1) He may have been a pupil or assistant of RICHARD CHAYTOR MILLAR , as there is a drawing by him of Millar's design for an extension to the Bank of Ireland at Carlow, dated June, 1899, in the Bank of Ireland archives. In the 1911 census, when he was living with his wife and small daughter in Temple Street, he describes bimself as 'Architects Assistant'. He was probably the elder brother of JOHN CAREN.
Address: 18 Temple Street, 1911; Innisfallen Parade, North Circular Road, 1916;(2) 58 Innisfallen Parade, 1923-1930.(3)
