English architect, for whom see Directory of British Architects 1834-1914 (RIBA 2001), I, 333. Robert Walter Carden was a successful entrant in the exam held in June 1900 for the post of Assistant Surveyor in the Architectural Department of the Board of Works,(1) but does not appear to have taken up the post.
