Builder, of Dublin. George Patterson, the father of BENJAMIN THOMAS PATTERSON  BENJAMIN THOMAS PATTERSON and HENRY PATTERSON HENRY PATTERSON , is listed as a builder at 16 Great Brunswick Street, Dublin, in the Post Office Dublin Directory for 1832 and is almost certainly one of the partners in the firm of PATTERSON & PATTERSON & amp; CATCHESIDE  CATCHESIDE which is listed with the address 26 Gt. Brunswick Street' in Wilson's Dublin Directory for 1833 and 'Westland Row' in the edition for 1834. Pettigrew & Oulton's Dublin Almanac for 1841 also shows George Patterson with an address in Upper Leeson Street (later identified as Harrymount). The address of Patterson & Catcheside is given as 17 Westland Row in the Post Office Dublin Directory for 1844 but by 1847 the partnership had ended, by which time George Patterson had become a partner in the firm of Hammond, Murray & Patterson, railway contractors, of 68 Middle Abbey Street. This second partnership had also come to an end by 1853, when Patterson was working from Harrymount as a builder. He had died by 1857.(1)
