SALVIATI, ANTONIO #
- Born: 1816 Died: 1890
Italian mosaic and ornamental glass manufacturer, based in Venice.. The company he founded received commissions for mosaics from all over the world: in Ireland it has been credited with a semi-circular lunette over the door leading from the saloon into the drawing room at Powerscourt, Co. Wicklow (which was destroyed in the fire of 1974) and various mosaics at the Church of the Sacred Heart, Roscommon.
