Dictionary of Irish Architects 1720 - 1940

Sculptor, for whom see Theo Snoddy, Dictionary of Irish Artists: 20th Century (1st edition, 1996), 599-601.  Kathleen Shaw, who was born in England in 1870 perhaps of an Irish father, trained as a sculptor at the Dublin Metropolitan School of Art.  She had returned to England by the age of twenty and was based there until her death in 1958.   She executed many works for Irish clients, exhibiting at the Royal Hibernian Academy between 1887 and 1906.  Her Irish work included several church monuments.
