American landscape architect, for whome see Wikipedia, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Nolen (last visited, July 2014). John Nolen was one of the three adjudicators - along with PATRICK GEDDES and CHARLES JAMES MCCARTHY - of the Design for a Town Plan of Dublin competition promoted by the Civics Institute of Ireland in 1914. Owing to the outbreak of the first World War in the same year, adjudication was delayed until 1916.(1)
