English landscape architect and architect, for whom see Howard Colvin, A Biographical dictionary of British architects 1600-1840 (3rd edn., 1995), 165-167. In Ireland Brown designed Gothic stables at Slane Castle, circa 1770 for Henry, first Viscount Conygham, and also produced a proposal for the main house about ten years later. These drawings are in the Irish Architectural Archive, Murray Collection, Acc. 92/46, nos. 1091-1094 and 1132.
