GUINNESS, ROBERT WYNDHAM

Amateur. Robert Wyndham Guinness, who, according to the 1911 census was born in Scotland in 1837 or 1838, was the incumbent of Rathdrum Church of Ireland parish from 1874 until his death in 1919. He acted as architect for the renovation of Rathdrum church, 1895-1898, in consultation with JAMES FRANKLIN FULLER.& #160; His plans - thirty-eight of which were exhibited to the building committee - included the removal of the side galleries and repewing. His proposal for a chancel was not carried out.
