Dictionary of Irish Architects 1720 - 1940

Architect, of London, for whom see Michael Darby, John Pollard Seddon (Victoria & Albert Museum, 1983) and Directory of British Architects 1834-1914 (RIBA 2001), II, 575-6.  Seddon was one of the entrants in the competition for designing St Finbarr's Church of Ireland cathedral, Cork.(1)   Later he designed Rossdohan, near Sneem, Co. Kerry (1875-1881) for Dr Samuel Thomas Heard.(2) and in 1877 he also produced a design for the town hall in Arklow, Co. Wicklow, which was not executed.(3)
