Dictionary of Irish Architects 1720 - 1940

Barnard, a superintending civil engineer in the department of the Director of Works at the Admiralty, London, took charge of the construction of the extension to Haulbowline Docks, Cobh, Co. Cork (completed in 1911) after the contractor had asked to be relieved of his responsibilities.(1)
