LONG, GEORGE ROGERS
- Born: - Died: -
Engineer who won the competition for designing a new bridge over the River Foyle in Derry in 1857. The assessor was Sir WILLIAM CUBITT , and the fact that Long had previously been an assistant in his office drew some adverse comment. His design was not executed, apparently because he took up a job in Bengal instead.(1)
