Dictionary of Irish Architects 1720 - 1940

Engineer, surveyor and valuator, of Dublin, active from the 1840s until the 1860s. Daniel Edward Heffernan prepared a map of the demesne of Cherrymount House, Co. Waterford, to be included in the advertisement for its sale on 9 July 1852 under the provisions of the Incumbered Estates Act of 1849.(1) He also drew a view of St Doolagh's, Dublin, another incumbered estate, which was sold on 3 March 1853.(2) He is possibly the 'O.E. Heffernan' who was present at the inaugural meeting of the AAI on 13 October 1872.(3)
