Dictionary of Irish Architects 1720 - 1940

Engineer, of Glenville, Newry, Co. Down. James Swanzy Glenny, son of William Boyle Glenny (d. 1880), of Newry & Belfast, was born circa 1843. He studied engineering at Trinity College, Dublin, obtaining the BAI degree in 1865.(1) In 1874 and 1875 he was engineer to the Irish & North Western Railway Co. He died on 1 February 1928 at the age of 85 and was buried in St Patrick's Church of Ireland graveyard.
