Architect, of Batley, West Yorkshire, for whom see Directory of British Architects 1834-1914 (RIBA 2001), I, 836. Walter Hanstock gained the second prize in the notorious Belfast Presbyterian Assembly Hall competition of 1899-1900.(1)
