Dictionary of Irish Architects 1720 - 1940

Amateur architect(?) T. Wright of Ballymorris House - presumably Ballymorris, Co. Laois - supplied plans and specifications for a row of sixteen labourers' cottages on the estate of Richard Warburton at Garryhinch, near Portarlington, Co. Offaly, in 1875. The cottages, which had a kitchen and two bedrooms on the ground floor and a third bedroom in the roof reached by a ladder, were described in the Irish Builder, which considered them 'far superior to the cottages we recently commented upon'.(1)
