Dictionary of Irish Architects 1720 - 1940

Architect, of Talbot Street, Dublin. Erasmus Wilson Williams was born in Dublin circa 1819.  He lived very close to ARTHUR WILLIAMS ARTHUR WILLIAMS , to whom he was probably related, as were probably Albert A. Williams and Leonard D. Williams, who also describe themselves as architects and who lived variously at 38, 41 and 44 Talbot Street during the later 1840s and early 1850s.

Erasmus Williams died on 19 January 1897. He appears to have married at least twice. His first wife was Mary Rosetta Georgina (d. 1848), daughter of Thomas Copperwaite, whom he married in St Thomas's church, Dublin, on 6 March 1844.(1) She died in 1848, probably after giving birth to a son, also named Erasmus. He then married married Isabella Evans at Maryborough (Portlaoise), Co. Laois, in 1850.

Addresses: 38 Talbot Street, 1846; 43 Talbot Street, 1847-1848; 42 Talbot Street, 1850-1852; 44 Talbot Street, 1853-1855.
