TRIPISCIANO, MICHELE *#

Italian sculptor who,some time between 1900 and 1905, executed three marble bas-relief groups in the antependium of the Lady altar at Armagh Cathedral, representing the Presentation, the Assumption, and the Coronation of the Virgin.(1) Tripisciano, a native of Caltanissetta, Sicily, worked in Rome, where he designed and executed the memorial fountain to the Roman dialect poet Giuseppe Gioacchino Belli (1791-1863) in the Piazza G.G. Belli.(2)
