Architect? In 1782 'Alexander Bogs' was paid for plans of the offices at Mount Stewart, Co. Down.(1) He was possibly the 'Mr Boggs' who designed Belleek Church of Ireland parish church in 1793, but see also JAMES BOGGS and ALEXANDER BAGGS.& #160; According to Barnard, Alexander Boggs, described by Sir James Caldwell, as 'an active stirring man', built the barracks and some house in Belturbet, Co. Cavan, worked at Castle Archdale, Co. Fermanagh, and, on Caldwell's recommendation, acted as clerk of works at Ardbraccan, Co. Meath.(2)
