Dictionary of Irish Architects 1720 - 1940

Thomas Thorndale was admitted to the Dublin Society's School of Drawing in Architecture on 7 February 1793 and was awarded first-class prizes on 7 April 1796 and 18 May 1797.(1) He was possibly related to the William Thorndale who was admitted a freeman of the city of Dublin by Grace Especial as a member of the Carpenters' Guild ' at Michaelmas 1807(2) and who is listed as a carpenter at 65 Bride Street in Wilson's Dublin Directory for the years 1814 to 1824.
