STRATON, JOHN
- Born: - Died: -
Amateur architect? John Straton can probably be identified as the elder son of General John Straton (c.1726-1803), of Dublin and Dundalk, MP, for Dundalk from 1799 to 1800.(1) If so, he was also the elder brother of HENRY STRATON . He married Emilia, daughter of Robert Jocelyn, 1st Earl of Roden, in 1798. According to Bryan Bolger, he made a plan and estimate for Dundalk custom house in August 1803.(2)
