Stuccadore, of Dublin, active from the mid-1750s until at least 1766. James Byrne , whose work shows strong similarities with that of ROBERT WEST ROBERT WEST , was responsible for the ornamental plasterwork in No. 12 Merrion Square, executed in 1765 or 1766, for William Brownlow, MP for Lurgan, Co. Armagh. On 15 May 1766 he was paid a gratuity of £7-13s-6d as a 'present for doing his work well'. He had earlier decorated Brownlow's previous house in Leinster Street.
