Architect, of Cork and Dublin. John Begg Levie, who was born in 1877, was the third son of Daniel Levie, of Aberdeen and London, and his wife, Jane Elder, and a younger brother of DANIEL ANDREW LEVIE. (1) He is recorded in the 1911 census as living in his brother's house in Cork, though whether he had moved to Ireland on a permmantent basis at this time is not clear. He was definitely working with with his brother in Cork by 1923.(2) By 1930 he had moved to Dublin was practising as an architect at 60 Grosvenor Road, Rathmines, where he remained for the rest of his career. He retired in 1957.
