(1) John Prendergast of Britain Street appears on a list of Dublin brick- and stone-layers who were active circa 1800 compiled by his fellow tradesmen in March 1834.(2) According to this source Prendergast 'Made a property & built the very large House now at top of Johnston's Court off Britain Street which is set to poor Room keepers'; he had subsequently lost his property 'which he had to Mortgage from badness of Trade' and had died in reduced circumstances.
