Dictionary of Irish Architects 1720 - 1940

Engineer to the Congested Districts Board, 1893-1895. Richard Clere Parsons, fifth son of William Parsons, third Earl of Rosse, was born on 21 February 1851. After graduating BAI with honours from Trinity College, Dublin, in 1874,(1) he embarked on a distinguished career, nearly the whole of which was spent out of Ireland. His only Irish post was that of engineer to the Congested Districts Board, which he held from 1893 to 1895. He died in London in 1923.

Inst.CE:(2) elected associate member, 30 May 1876; transferred to class of member, 8 May 1883.
