Dictionary of Irish Architects 1720 - 1940

Deputy county surveyor for Co. Antrim, 1927-1928. According to the 1911 census, James Park, third son of James Park, farmer, of Legaloy, Ballynure, Co. Antrim, was born in Co. Antrim circa 1899.   He attended Larne Grammar School and read engineering at Queen's University, Belfast. After receiving his degree, he worked in Cos. Down and Antrim and in Belfast. In about 1923 he was appointed assistant surveyor for Ballymena Rural District and, following the death of DAVID MEGAW  DAVID MEGAW in August 1927, he was appointed deputy surveyor of the county. He died in a shooting accident on 8 October 1928.
