Dictionary of Irish Architects 1720 - 1940

Official in the Office of Public Works, active from the 1840s. O'Neill, who was born in 1819, entered the Office of Public Works as a draughtsman in 1842.(1) A Thomas O'Neill had become Superintendent of Fuel and Light within the Architect's Department of the Office of Public Works by 1874,(2) and of Fuel, Light and Water Supply by 1883.(3) Possibly the same person as THOMAS O'NEILL[2]. A T THOMAS O'NEILL[2]. A T . O'Neill was foreman of works at the Curragh in 1858.(4)
