O'CALLAGHAN & GIRON
- Born: - Died: -
Architectural partnership, of Dublin. When JAMES HENRY WEBB terminated his partnership with LUCIUS O'CALLAGHAN and LOUIS FRAN ÇOIS GIRON on 31 August 1931, the practice, known until that date as O'CALLAGHAN & amp; WEBB, continued under the name of O'Callaghan & Giron until O'Callaghan's death on 5 December 1954. Giron carried on the practice, still under the same name, at 31 South Frederick Street until circa 1957 and thereafter at 1 Upper Pembroke Street, where he remained until his retirement, probably circa 1964. Pupils and assistants in the office included WILLIAM HENRY WARD.
See WORKS (works from 1955 onwards are listed under L.F. Giron)
References
The dates of the partnership and of O'Callaghan's death come from handwritten notes by Jones in file O18, his source apparently being a telephone conversation with an unknown interlocutor (probably Giron himself).
