Dictionary of Irish Architects 1720 - 1940

Manchester-based engineers. John Newton (1829-1896), for biography of whom see Min.Proc.Inst.CE 77 (1896-97, Pt. I), 381-2, was in partnership with his son from circa 1883 until his death. In Ireland John Newton & Son designed sewers at Dundalk in 1896-96.(1)
