Builder, of 13 Kevin Street, Dublin. Listed as such in Wilson's Dublin Directory for the years 1807 to 1820. According to his fellow tradesmen, writing in 1834,(1) McKenna had at one stage employed twenty men and made 'a large property' but had 'failed about 1804 & his property sold off'. At the time of writing he was 'still alive but very poor'. His name appears in a list of bankrupts for April 1815 in Charles Taylor's Literary Panorama and National Register Vol. 2 (1815), 10.
