MCGUCKIN, ROBERT THOMAS

Architect and surveyor, of Magherafelt, Co. Derry, active from the early 1920s until the early 1950s. Most of the work by McGuckin which was recorded in the Irish Builder was for schools in Co. Derry. He died on 10th December 1979. His son, Diarmuid (Dermot) McGuckin, followed Robert Thomas into the family business (R.T. McGuckin and Son) as a quantity surveyor/civil engineer/architect.
