Dictionary of Irish Architects 1720 - 1940

Name by which the architectural partnership of MCDONNELL & MCDONNELL & amp; DIXON  DIXON was often designated during the years 1928 to 1935. JOSEPH VINCENT DOWNES  JOSEPH VINCENT DOWNES became a partner of WILLIAM ALBERT DIXON  WILLIAM ALBERT DIXON of McDonnell & Dixon in 1928 and remained in this position until 29 September 1935, when he left to start his own office. During these years the practice was also sometimes referred to as Dixon & Downes. Pupils and assistants in the office included NOEL RICHARD MACGOVERN.  NOEL RICHARD MACGOVERN.
